Micro Weddings - Classic Chic in the City at Morden Hall Wedding Venue

Hey there, I am so thrilled you landed on my latest blog! Why? Because it is a different blog post than usual. Today, I will be sharing with you inspiration for your perfect intimate wedding. I am sure there are a lot of outdoor wedding ideas or small wedding ideas out there, but this is for my rule-breaking couples, who do not want the traditional wedding displays but still keeping a nod to the traditions you adore!

So if you are Hungry for a small, but mighty wedding day that exudes every essence of your personality? Save this blog for your inspiration.

On the 4th of August, I planned and coordinated an intimate and micro wedding shoot to help inspire couples that may be feeling a little drawn from the effects of COVID.

2020 and beyond is for breaking rules

The concept was to go bold and ensure I show off the couple’s personal love story and fashion style. The models were perfect and helped emphasise the wedding look for the day. The bride wore four stunning dresses designed by Story of my Dress Bridal. These dresses are not your standard wedding dresses, you really need to have that “savvy presence” about you and want to make a statement. You must break the rules. And wow did Nicole really make an impact each time she walked through those doors. For an intimate and micro wedding, I suggest going completely different from what you would wear to your traditional wedding ceremony. Make a statement like the groom, Jassiem who looked very suave in our high street look ASOS. His dark checkered suit really turns heads and if you want your groom to not be an accessory to the wedding and stand out just like you… then this is the perfect intimate wedding outfit.

The perfect wedding venue for an indoor and outdoor wedding vibes

I cannot repeat this again, I LOVE Morden Hall (link @bottom). I cannot wait to work there for a wedding client soon, it is what Wedding dreams are made of. The gorgeous English country Manor House in South London is split over two floors and surrounded by beautiful grounds where it's completely exclusive, so you can really get imaginative and use every bit of the Venue that they offer. So we chose to elope on the white iron cast bridge, have an intimate ceremony in the Hawthorn Suite with Dark green chairs and a simple elegant floral floor arch, and then host the wedding breakfast outside on the patio surrounded by Canadian geese. Dreamy right?

Include a luxury and showstopping wedding displays

Now if you want to include some real boldness and show off to your close ones how adventurous and personable you have made your intimate wedding day. Then this stunning cake by B Bakes London (link at bottom) is a great focal point. Look at the balancing cake tiers, representing a relationship give and take the balance in life and in your relationship. I love that the colour offers hints of emerald green and how it creates a nice shadow cast within Morden Hall.

The stationery provided by Celia from Penn and fold was a complete piece of art, having the laser cut stationery added a modern feel to a classic wedding venue in London. The bold green, black and gold design from the stationery suite continued from the colour scheme of the wedding added further wow elements for the couple that really did want to have a show-off intimate wedding.

Who said wedding flowers needed to be all red roses?

The amazing floral elements are from Florissa designs. I mean absolutely stunning with lots of foliage, making your floral dreams fit with your budget. Then Mannuela added a few white flowers and it complimented all elements of the wedding and couple whilst not stealing the show. We arrive at the wedding breakfast, just picture your guest's faces when they see the stunning hanging centerpiece. I know, this is going to make any intimate wedding super special for your guests and will create a great conversation space for all of those important catch up moments. Think elegance, think classic, think chic.

Each element of this stunning inspiration was created by amazing self-employed wedding creators. From the hairstylist Brides by Aina.M who crafted something so classical on the Brides red hair to the celebrant Jennifer Patrice who got to know our real couple to provide a beautiful commitment ceremony.
